Further sweetening the pot, all 18 characters have access to additional Outfits, allowing the veterans of the roster to cash in on nostalgia and the newcomers to wow us with their fashion sense. While not every Alternate Outfit is a hit, most of them are, making us question which of them is the best.

Updated August 1, 2023, by Seth Parmer: Rashid has descended onto the roster of Street Fighter 6 as the game's first DLC character and is already causing mayhem, just as you'd expect if you're familiar with facing off against him in the previous installment. While he is a promising character already, can the same be said about his second Outfit?

19 Dhalsim

Street-Fighter-6-Alternate-Outfit-Dhalsim

Dhalsim has been a fan favorite ever since he first debuted in Street Fighter 2, making his Classic Outfit iconic for many. However, his long run means he, unfortunately, falls into the 'overly stereotyped' category, making this throwback attire age a tad bit poorly.

While there's nothing overtly offensive about Dhalsim's Classic Outfit, his Modern one rights the wrongs, showcasing just how much his old look needed a refreshing. This is still an iconic look, but we much prefer all the others over it.

18 Dee Jay

Street-Fighter-6-Alternate-Outfit-Dee-Jay

Dee Jay has received arguably the biggest glow-up from the cast of veterans brought back into Street Fighter 6, making his Classic Outfit seem far less spectacular and lacking personality in comparison.

His new Outfit breathes so much life into him, automatically making this the lesser of the two and a bottom-tier option amongst the other Alternate Outfits in the list. Die-hard fans of Dee Jay in the older titles may beg to differ, but his new look is just better in every way.

17 Blanka

Street-Fighter-6-Alternate-Outfit-Blanka

In contrast to Dee Jay, Blanka changed the least in terms of his Modern and Classic Outfits, bringing us to this placement. While Classic Blanka is still very cool looking, we prefer his new haircut, bandana, and suspenders, as they help bring more character to him.

Overall, the Classic Blanka is fantastic for fans of the previous titles, but there's not much going on here that warrants it being placed any higher.

16 Luke

Street-Fighter-6-Alternate-Outfit-Luke

Luke is a self-proclaimed "fan of wacky shirts," yet both of his Outfits in Street Fighter 6 feature no such thing, with both being a bit of a letdown, all things considered. Even if his Alternate Outfit is better than his Default one, it's not by much, and the bar for both is quite low to clear.

This look is just dull, as it features Luke with a blue hat that he has on backward (which he admittedly looks good in), a baggy white tanktop underneath a desert camouflaged jacket, and ripped blue jeans that top off the type of 'style' he has.

15 Jamie

Street-Fighter-6-Alternate-Outfit-Jamie

Out of the gate, Jamie is one of the most fashionable newcomers in the game. Still, his Alternate Outfit will make you think otherwise, as his puffy black and yellow jacket takes massive points away from his fashion sense, especially since it's replacing a stylish and modified wushu uniform.

Jamie's puffy jacket automatically plummets him near the bottom of the list. It's just ridiculous looking and does not seem comfortable to fight in. He's a stylish person, but he missed the mark entirely on this one.

14 E. Honda

Street-Fighter-6-Alternate-Outfit-E-Honda

You can't talk about Street Fighter without bringing up E. Honda, who originally debuted in Street Fighter 2 wearing nothing but a blue and white mawashi, and that's precisely what his Classic Outfit is. This iconic striped mawashi is back and looks better than ever on him.

RELATED: Every Character's Story In Street Fighter 6, Ranked

We'd love to place this higher, but his Modern Outfit is surprisingly better, and the competition ahead is very steep, leaving us no choice but to put E. Honda and his mawashi near the bottom. Nonetheless, we still love this look overall and prefer it to those before it on the list.

13 Lily

Street-Fighter-6-Alternate-Outfit-Lily

Lily will be recognizable to most veterans from the moment you see her in action, making her Alternate Outfit that much more special, as her orange and teal Baja jacket makes for one of the best-looking ones in the game.

Legacy aside, Lily's Alternate Outfit is incredible, and that's before you even factor in the customized pogamoggans that look like birds and her stylish boots. Lily will likely be a fan favorite in Street Fighter 6, and this Outfit is a must-get for those who choose to main her.

12 Ryu

Street-Fighter-6-Alternate-Outfit-Ryu

Barely missing the top ten in shocking fashion is the one and only Ryu and his iconic white gi and red headband. Make no mistake, this attire is still all killer, but his new one is somehow even better than this one, leaving us no choice but to exclude it from the top ten.

Ryu is an unforgettable character that spans the minds of nearly all gamers, and this Outfit is synonymous with the image you think of when you imagine Street Fighter and him, but that doesn't automatically enter it into the top ten, especially when all the other Outfits are as strong as they are.

11 Cammy

Cammy preparing to fight in her classic outfit in Street Fighter 6

Another iconic Outfit that will kick off our top ten, however, is Cammy's leotard, which fails in practicality but kills it in almost every other way. Despite it becoming a bit controversial lately, this Classic Outfit goes hand in hand with her character and what people think of when they think of Street Fighter 2.

RELATED: Coolest Supers In Street Fighter 6

Cammy's Classic Outfit is absolutely the definition of scantily clad and a perfect example of being a product of its time. Still, it's also far too iconic not to include or outright ignore. As a result, it earns its place at the top of the final ten.

10 Juri

Street-Fighter-6-Alternate-Outfit-Juri

Juri is another character that fans almost instantly fell in love with when she entered the scene in her pink and black leather catsuit, eyepatch, and relentless attitude. Even with her new Outfit being solid all around, there's just something about her Classic one that better fits her personality.

Riding sports bikes, not taking shit from anyone, and rolling through life with an iron fist is the name of Juri's game, and this Outfit encapsulates everything she stands for masterfully, making it one of the best in the game.

9 Guile

Street-Fighter-6-Alternate-Outfit-Guile

Speaking of iconic Outfits, Guile's simplistic olive green tank top, dog tag, and camouflaged pants are the definition of nostalgia, and it looks so, so good in Street Fighter 6. Even with the bizarre tattoos of the American Flag on both of his shoulders, this getup is nothing but killer.

Guile is a staple of the Street Fighter series, and so is this look, making it a no-brainer to have crack the top ten. Despite it being extremely basic, Guile absolutely crushes the look and looks the best he ever has in it, thanks to the RE Engine.

8 Rashid

Rashid posing in his second Outfit in Street Fighter 6

Our first DLC character to enter the fray is Rashid, whose second Outfit is his default one from Street Fighter 5, in which he was introduced. This Outfit was heavy hitting in that title, and it still stands tall now, making it a shoo-in for the top ten.

This look has Rashid rock a plain white shemagh on his head, a greenish-yellow eyepiece on his left eye, a plain white trenchcoat without sleeves, along with white cargo pants that contrast well with his black undershirt, open-toed boots, and wristbands. This drip is absolutely stellar, and we love that it returned to Street Fighter 6!

7 Kimberly

Kimberly posing in her alternate outfit in Street Fighter 6

Kimberly has exploded onto the scene as one of the new characters to join the roster, and her style is just as strong as her combative skills. Her Default Outfit is remarkable, but her Alternate one has it slightly beat, harkening back to the days of late '80s and early '90s hip-hop.

Everything from her bright red hammer pants to her red tennis hat to her cassette player and her purple ascot help her nail the aesthetics she was going for in spades, making this one of the best Outfits you can get your hands on in Street Fighter 6.

6 Marisa

Marisa flexing in her alternate outfit in Street Fighter 6

Marisa is another newcomer, but her Alternate Outfit has an exciting twist if you're a fan of the previous entries. Her white pinstripe suit and black dress shirt are a direct callback and reference to Urien, one of the most popular villain characters in Street Fighter.

Urien always had a distinct and fashionable look, and it's awesome seeing Marisa rock the hell out of it, showcasing her phenomenal strength and elegance all at once. This Alternate Outfit is spectacular, and we cannot be happier that it exists.

5 Zangief

Zangief poses for the crowd in his traditional red and yellow wrestling briefs and red boots in Street Fighter 6.

Zangief is a very beloved character who deserves every bit of love and attention, so it's no surprise that his Modern and Classic Outfits were handled with care. However, when you think of Zangief, you almost instantly think of his red and yellow trunks... and getting piledrived into the dirt.

That second point aside, you absolutely love to see him don the trunks again in his Classic Outfit, showing off his massive thighs and calves. The gnarly gnashes he received while sparring with a bear are also visible here, making it such a cool and visually appealing Outfit.

4 Ken

Street-Fighter-6-Alternate-Outfit-Ken

First things first, Ken's new Outfit is good while simultaneously being a bit underwhelming, even if it does represent what he's currently going through in the story. Fortunately, you can obtain his iconic red gi again, instantly skyrocketing him near the top of the list.

RELATED: The Best Pieces Of World Tour Equipment In Street Fighter 6, Ranked

Ken is quite possibly one of the most popular characters in the genre, and his bright red gi is recognizable to nearly everyone who has been playing fighting games in the past few decades. This Outfit still holds up and always will, making this placement an easy choice.

3 JP

JP posing in his alternate outfit in Street Fighter 6

JP is another new character in Street Fighter 6 and one of the most fashionable ones, even when considering his Default Outfit. But we're here to talk about his Alternate option, which is even better than that, and by a significant margin.

Just look at him. This is style personified and executed nearly flawlessly. A deep purple suit, a stylish and patterned white overcoat, a fedora, and a scarf. Are you kidding? It's annoying how good at everything JP seems to be...

2 Chun-Li

Street-Fighter-6-Alternate-Outfit-Chun-Li

Chun-Li is one of the most influential female characters in gaming as a whole, and her Classic Outfit stands the test of time just as she effortlessly has done for the past 32 years and counting. While you could argue that her new Outfit is even better than this one, you can't argue over how fantastic this one is.

From a purely iconic standpoint, this will likely be sitting at the top with no competition. Still, its overall design does slightly knock it down a peg, particularly the bowser-esque wristbands. Nonetheless, Chun-Li is one of the best characters in gaming, and her Classic Outfit mimics that sentiment.

1 Manon

Manon posing in her alternate outfit in Street Fighter 6

Our last and number one entry is Manon, another newcomer to the series that absolutely slays us with her Alternate Outfit that looks like it could have come straight out of Lady Gaga's wardrobe. This Outfit is spectacular in every sense of the word and deserves to be at the top.

Bright pink and deep black feathers that make up a jacket, sleek and stylish jet-black leggings with a tutu, and flashy pink high-heels make her undeniably the most fashionable and stunning character in the game. Manon is a one-of-a-kind character that we hope has strong staying power moving forward, especially if she gets more Outfits like this one!
