As surprising as it sounds, many Pokemon make a living off of trickery, deception, and thievery. Of course, even the most selfish thief can turn into the kindest partner if you rack up enough Friendship points. But, in case that doesn’t happen, here are our top picks for Pokemon that will steal your stuff.

10 Bombirdier

Bombirdier soars over a mountain at night

Don’t mistake Bombirdier for the stork that will bless you. This Pokemon is an agent of chaos. Introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Bombirdier is a Flying and Dark-type Pokemon who is said to enjoy dropping items. Hence their title, the Item Drop Pokemon. But where does Bombirdier get these items?

If not from nature, then couldn’t the items that Bombirdier uses come from unsuspecting trainers? Imagine setting up a nice picnic and trying to eat your sandwich when suddenly, a Bombirdier interrupts the party to steal your meal. And you thought Area Zero was dangerous.

9 Combee

A trio of Combee flutter over a field of flowers

Combee might not look like your typical thief but make no mistake; this Tiny Bee Pokemon will do anything to please their queen bee, Vespiquen. Combee first appeared in Generation 4, and it’s clear where the inspiration for this Pokemon came from. They are literally worker bees.

Although this busy bee usually collects nectar from flowers, who’s to say that they won’t collect already-made honey too? If they do, you might want to store your honey somewhere safe if you see a Combee buzzing toward you.

8 Cramorant

Cramorant Pokemon Unite Attacker

Every single villainous organization needs to move over; Cramorant is here to steal your Pokemon. And they’ll do it one, fell swallow. First appearing in Generation 8, Cramorant is a Water and Flying-type who can shift into two different forms depending on how much health they have left.

While in these forms, known as their Gulping and Gorging Forms, Cramorant will either have Arrokuda or a Pikachu stuck in their mouth. That’s right, Cramorant will cram another living being into their beak. Who needs Team Rocket when Cramorant can do the Pokemon stealing all by themselves?

7 Rattata

Rattata from Pokemon anime

You think that Rattata isn’t a big threat? Think again. This rat may seem like easy EXP for your newly acquired starter Pokemon, their Pokedex entries beg to differ. Many state that if one Rattata is spotted, an army will surely be close by.

Rattata multiply easily, create homes easily, and of course, eat whatever they can find. And they sometimes find a way into houses, where they will steal all the edible goodies they can get their paws on. If you see one in your kitchen, you better call a professional Rattata catcher.

6 Munchlax

Munchlax in Pokemon Sword and Shield

There are a lot of Pokemon on this list who would steal your lunch. But there’s one ‘Mon who would go above and beyond lunch taking. Munchlax will not only steal your lunch, but they’ll also steal your breakfast, dinner, dessert, and even your midnight snack.

The greediest glutton of them all, Munchlax loves eating. It’s no surprise that when they see an opportunity to get food, they’ll take it. Sometimes, Munchlax will even mistake items for food and munch on them too.

5 Murkrow

Murkrow from Pokemon Anime

If you happen to pass by a Murkrow, make sure you’re not wearing anything shiny or sparkling. Why? Because Murkrow will swoop in and steal it. Known as the Darkness Pokemon, Murkrow is a symbol of bad luck and is a jewelry thief.

According to several Pokedex entries, Murkrow will take anything that glistens. They'll not only steal from unsuspecting humans but from other Pokemon too. So if you see a Murkrow flying towards you, hide all your shiny valuables as fast as you can.

4 Drifloon

Drifloon from Pokemon Anime

Drifloon is probably the most terrifying Pokemon that will steal your stuff. Mainly because the “stuff” that Drifloon is known for stealing is people. Originally introduced in Diamond and Pearl, Drifloon is a seemingly harmless purple balloon lookalike. Yet several Pokedex entries claim otherwise, as people are said to have disappeared thanks to Drifloon.

As scary as this is, there are other reports that state that Drifloon is too weak to float anything away. But just in case you meet a strong Drifloon, keep a close eye on your valuables and your loved ones.

3 Sneasel

Johtoian and Hisuian Sneasel

In many of Sneasel’s Pokedex entries, they are described as being a sneaky, deceptive, and sharp-clawed Pokemon. They are also described as being an egg thief. Yup, this Pokemon will painfully scratch you and then, while you're distracted, take off with all your precious eggs.

And what do they do with these unhatched future Pokemon? Well, Sneasel eats them. That's right; they eat them. It's no surprise that many Pokemon breeders are annoyed with Sneasel and view them as dangerous hunters who should not be trusted.

2 Purrloin

Purrloin with the Pokemon Go battlefield in the background

The word “purloin” is a synonym for the word “steal,” so it was very clever of the Pokemon crew to name their Devious Pokemon, Purrloin. Introduced in Generation 5, Purrloin is a cat-like Pokemon who, as its name implies, likes to steal stuff. Even the Pokedex entry calls this ‘Mon out.

Thievul from Pokemon Anime

Thievul was made for this list. Although referred to as the Fox Pokemon, they should really be called the Thief Pokemon or the Steal Your Stuff Pokemon. Thievul is a thief through and through. Whether it be your wallet, your lunch, or a bunch of knickknacks, you should stay away and not trust this sneaky, looting fox.
