Remnant 2 brings back many elements from its successful predecessor, Remnant From the Ashes. One notable returning element is the infamous Ravager. While exploring Yaesha, you might come across the Corrupted Ravager. This time, however, when you first meet him, he won't be hostile.

After the encounter, there will be a cutscene where the Ravager starts a conversation with you. He will lead you to his den, where you'll find the injured Doe. At this point, you will be asked to kill the Doe, but remember: this isn't your only option. There are other ways to handle this situation.

What Happens If You Kill The Doe?

This is probably the easiest approach to the situation, and there are two main reasons for it.

Firstly, if you choose to follow the Ravager's request and kill the Doe, you will essentially skip the Ravager boss fight. Given that the Corrupted form of the Ravager is more powerful than the Ravager from the first game, avoiding this tough battle might be a good idea. However, this choice comes with a consequence.

While the Ravager will reward you with the Ravager's Mark Amulet, which boosts damage dealt to bleeding targets, killing the Doe will result in the Blood Moon Event becoming permanent in Yaesha. This event is essential for farming Blood Moon Essence with ease.

If you haven't unlocked the Summoner Archetype, then killing the Doe might be the ideal choice.

What Happens If You Revive The Doe?

You don't have to kill the Doe. You have the choice to revive the injured Doe. Considering its important role in Yaesha and its current condition, this could be the ideal decision to make.

If you approach the Doe and interact with it, you can use a Relic charge to revive the injured creature. This action will lead to a cutscene showing the Doe bravely confronting the Ravager before escaping. Be prepared, as this will trigger the challenging Corrupted Ravager boss fight.

If you manage to defeat the Ravager, you will be rewarded with the Doe's Antler. This material can then be used to craft the Red Doe Staff at McCabe.

There's actually a third approach to this situation, which involves not reviving the Doe and directly shooting the Ravager instead. Some might find this option more satisfying after their conversation with the Ravager.

By shooting the Ravager directly, the boss fight will start immediately, with the injured Doe remaining in its place. During the battle, when the Ravager's health reaches half, it will attempt to consume the Doe. This will make the Ravager more powerful and even more challenging to defeat.

If you manage to defeat the Ravager in this state, you will be rewarded with the Crimson Membrane. This material can be used to craft the Merciless Long Gun at McCabe.

Be mindful not to shoot the Doe, as there is a risk of accidentally killing him. If this happens, you will not receive the Crimson Membrane.

One more alternative approach to this boss fight is worth mentioning.

If you shoot the Ravager and trigger the boss fight, then also shoot the Doe to prevent the Ravager from consuming him, you will get the Ravager’s Maw after defeating the Ravager. This material is used to craft the Feral Judgement melee weapon at McCabe.
