Not only does she move fast and hit hard, but the fight has two separate phases with the second part being particularly tricky and a bit of a pain to deal with. But beating her comes with some nice rewards so it’s worth busting this ghost. Here’s how to beat the Nightweaver in Remnant 2.

How To Find The Nightweaver

Remnant 2: The Nightweaver Attacking A Victim

An optional boss that you can easily miss if you’re not following the side quest for it, the Nightweaver is a shrieking phantom that haunts and hunts in the Asylum in Losonm. You’ll see shadows of her and catch glimpses as you prowl through the halls to get to the next location, but if you stick around in this world and start hunting for a particular item you’ll be able to take her on.

Her fight is pretty brutal and takes place in a Nightmare Realm, but here’s how you can unlock it. First, head to the Shattered Gallery, inside here you'll see the Nightweaver briefly feeding on the corpse of one of her victims before she zips away. On the body will be the Soulkey Tribute. This item can be used on the web in the basement of the Asylum to enter the Nightweaver's realm to access the boss fight.

How To Beat The Nightweaver

Remnant 2: The Nightweaver In Her Graveyard

The Nightweaver is a real damage check that can steamroll you easily if you’re not quick on that evade button. She fights you at first in the outside yard where you encounter the Ripsaw mini-boss so the arena is not the largest but you can still use some of the obstacles like trees and fences to keep her at bay for a little bit or block projectiles.

We’ll go into deeper detail momentarily. The first phase of the Nightweaver is the easiest, but it’s her second phase where things get a little frustrating and spooky. Not only does she get her health bar topped back up again, but things get shifted indoors. After taking her down the first time, a brief cutscene will play out and you’ll be transported inside the Asylum.

Remnant 2: A Cutscene Transitioning The Nightweaver Boss Fight To The Second Phase

This is now your arena and the Nightweaver will fly in and out of the walls, floors, and ceilings to attack or escape from gunfire. Often she’ll appear right underneath you or from a wall next to you before hiding nearby and spawning a huge wave of exploding spiders. Thankfully she is a lot slower as she moves around. Though she is quite tanky. So make sure to pour on the damage, avoid the ambushes and she’ll fall eventually.

Because the Nightweaver is a boss, certain elemental attacks like SLOW won’t freeze or slow her down, so use BURN or SHOCK instead to add extra damage numbers to her.

First Phase

Remnant 2: The Nightweaver Attacking With Ice Ball Projectiles

Here’s a deeper breakdown of the first phase of the Nightweaver so you know what to expect when you wander into her realm. First off, her attacks in this phase range from an incredibly damaging and difficult-to-dodge charge, to spawning a few spider minions, summoning homing crystals, AOE splash attacks, and a painful close-range smack.

The projectiles can be blocked with trees and have a slow tracking curve so you can walk around them. Her spiders are weak and can be shredded with gunfire easily, but it’s the charge you’ll need to watch out for. She’ll telegraph it with a roar and a flail in the air of her claws, keep some distance between you and her, then just roll out of the way to the side. The charge tracks in a straight line so once she commits, just get ready to move.

Remnant 2: The Nightweaver's Lunge Attack

Once you wear her down, she’ll fall to the floor. If it’s your first time fighting her, walk up to the Nightweaver to trigger the cutscene, but if you’ve done this part already the second phase will just immediately start regardless of where you’re standing in the arena.

Attacks

Ice Projectiles

Four floating balls of ice will be summoned that will head to your location.

Charging Lunge

The Nightweaver sweeps across the arena in a charging lunge.

Energy Balls

A grouping of dark energy balls that have splash damage will fly out from the Nightweaver's chest.

Spider Summon

Lifting her arms, the Nightweaver will begin summoning spiders that explode on contact. The first phase features three, the second phase has a near-constant stream of them.

Second Phase

Remnant 2: Fighting The Nightweaver Inside The Asylum

This is the part where things get annoying. The Asylum is the Nightweavers hunting ground and she can move through the surfaces of this arena like a shark through the ocean. She’ll emerge in short bursts and when she does she’ll crawl towards you, or a specific person in your group, and start clawing at them. She can take a lot of damage in this phase, but she does move a lot slower, and sometimes the pathing has hiccups so you have a lot of opportunities to dump damage.

You have a large area to engage her in, but honestly, the best spot is the main hall where you spawn in. There’s lots of open space away from walls that the Nightweaver can ambush from, and you can loop her around the stairs for easy damage opportunities. Aside from her phasing ability, the other main threat is when she goes off and hides.

Remnant 2: The Nightweaver Spawning An Army Of Spiders

It’s telegraphed by constant shrieking and her running as fast as possible away from you. Once the Nightweaver does this she will hitch herself to a surface and will start pumping out an ungodly number of spiders. These are quick to die and you can attack the Nightweaver, but the minions she’s dropping should be your priority as they can quickly overwhelm you.

Including the bugs, the Nightweaver will also use her first-phase attacks again.

After taking her down you’ll be rewarded with Nightfall, a long gun with a special Weapon Mod called Nightmare Realm which gives the semi-auto rifle a fully automatic mode, infinite ammo, and life steal very briefly. Plus, it also cloaks your character, with the invisibility buff disappearing when you attack.

Remnant 2: The Dream Catcher Melee Weapon

You can then leave the area back the way you came. Although, make sure to pick up the Dreamcatcher melee weapon from the webbing in the cell. You’ll need to use the Stone Statue of the Nightweaver from the cell after completing the Stone Statue sidequest.

If you target the Nightweaver's Heart when she pulls it out in both phases you'll earn the Nightweaver's Finger. Which can be turned into the Nightshade melee weapon that comes with the Beyond The Veil Weapon Mod which turns you into mist when you evade, gives a 5 percent base damage boost, and provides life steal all for five seconds, but its duration can be increased with perfect dodges.
