  • Nintendo Switch's library include long, epic games that were previously associated with other platforms like PlayStation and Xbox.
  • Several of the lengthiest campaigns on Nintendo Switch include The Last Remnant, Trails of Cold Steel 4, and Persona 4 Golden.
  • These games offer deep narratives, intriguing storylines, and hours of gameplay, ranging from 64 to 101 hours.

At one point in time, Nintendo consoles were known for mainly offering a slew of party games alongside the occasional larger first-party title, such as a Mario or Zelda game. They didn't, however, have a lot of the biggest and longest games on the market. Epic RPGs, for instance, more commonly arrived on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

Yet, the Nintendo Switch has changed things a bit, as the platform is capable of running some of the biggest titles on the market. Therefore, there are plenty of long adventures to be experienced on the console. According to HowLongToBeat, these are the ones with the lengthiest campaigns.

The entries are based on the average main story playthrough numbers provided by HowLongToBeat.

Originally launching on the Xbox 360, a remastered version of The Last Remnant has since been released on Nintendo Switch. The story of the RPG is about a teenage warrior whose once peaceful life is turned upside down when his sister is kidnapped.

He attempts to save her. In the process, he gets involved in a much bigger story revolving around powerful artifacts known as Remnants that impact the whole world. This is a large-scale and epic tale that is allowed to develop due to it lasting 64 hours.

7 The Legend Of Heroes: Trails Of Cold Steel 4 - 64.5 Hours

The Trails series is a long one that includes several different arcs. One such arc is called Trails of Cold Steel, which comes to a conclusion in the fourth entry. At this point in the story, the Erebonian Empire is on the brink of a war that would undoubtedly cause incredible amounts of death and destruction.

You have to make sure the world isn't completely ruined. As this is the conclusion to a four-part arc, you expect it to be a bit longer than its predecessors as it has to tie up loose ends. And it attempts to do that in 64.5 hours.

6 Persona 3 Portable - 65 Hours

The tale revolves around a high-school student who joins a special group that investigates strange goings-on. Their focus is on a temporal anomaly known as the Dark Hour. The whole thing makes for a deep narrative containing plenty of twists and turns. Playing through the portable version takes less time than it does in the original. However, the main story still lasts 65 hours.

5 Cozy Grove - 67.5 Hours

There are plenty of great games that give you a cozy feeling when playing them. Cozy Grove goes one further by including the word "cozy" in the title. It's an apt name for this life simulation game about camping on a wholesome yet haunted island.

Every day you're encouraged to explore the unique place while finding and helping ghosts. It feels like an open game, but it does include an actual ending that takes you to the credits. It takes 67.5 hours to reach that point, though.

4 Persona 4 Golden - 68.5 Hours

While the original Persona 4 predates the Nintendo Switch, the Golden version of the game was released on the platform. In it, you play as a high school student who has temporarily relocated to the countryside.

It isn't the greatest place to live since plenty of mysterious murders are happening there. You and your newly acquired friends begin investigating the killings. The whole thing is a bit more complicated than that, but that is the basic story premise of this RPG and life-simulation hybrid. And it's a tale that lasts around 68.5 hours.

3 My Time At Portia - 69 Hours

Plus, it's easy to get distracted by the townsfolk. Yet, even if you have intense levels of focus and can put all your attention on the main quests, the game will still take you 69 hours to beat.

2 Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate - 78 Hours

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate

Monster Hunter games aren't the most mysterious titles out there, as they tell you exactly what they're about in the title alone. So, in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, you follow the series tradition by stalking and fighting powerful beasts.

The Ultimate version of the game came out exclusively for the Nintendo Switch and is an expanded version of the original Monster Hunter Generations. Since the original was already pretty long, it's no surprise that Ultimate is among the lengthiest titles on the Switch.

1 Persona 5 Royal - 101 Hours

Persona 5 follows a secret group of young vigilantes that are determined to force evil adults to see the error of their ways. To do that, they enter a place called the metaverse, where their target's subconscious desires are kept. From there, they can directly alter the evil-doers' hearts.

This is a pretty time-consuming process, and it's not like there is just one person you need to target. You must change the ways of several people throughout the story while also living a typical student life. This is why the story lasts a whopping 101 hours.
