There's an almost endless list of toys and other items to collect regardless of what you're in to. Action figures, trading cards, statues, plushes, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. However, if you're into a little bit of everything like me, your best bet when it comes to collecting something is to stick with Funko Pop! figures. A Pokemon here, an Avenger there, and even a long list of iconic Disney characters to choose from. Funko has just about all your bases covered.

Whether you're just about to dabble with Funko Pop! figures for the first time or you're looking to add to a growing collection, not only can the sheer amount of them to choose from be overwhelming, but knowing where to go to get what you want can also be pretty intimidating. Funkos are available in a lot of places, and also not stocked in places you might think they would be, so we've put together a short guide on where's best to hunt for them.

Shopping Online

Much like almost everything else nowadays, the quickest and easiest way to find and buy the Funko Pop! figures you want is to search for them online. However, finding the Pops you want, especially if you're simply browsing for your next addition, can take a while if you're looking in the wrong places. If you want to find the newest additions to all of the Pop! figures there are to choose from, then your best bet is to head right to the source.

The Funko site has a lot of non-Pop! products, so you'll want to hit the Pops category on the dropdown menu if that's all you're after. If you'd prefer to peruse different fandoms, there's a dropdown menu for that too. The official Funko site isn't the only place to go when looking for Pops online, though. Amazon and Walmart are also necessary ports of all, especially since both sites often sell Pops that are no longer listed on the Funko site, and occasionally even boast exclusives.

In-Store

There are a couple of reasons you might prefer hunting down your desired Funko Pop! figures in stores as opposed to searching for them online. Not only might they be so rare/old that they're no longer for sale through regular channels, but if you do find one that falls into those categories online, it's probably going to cost you. Stumbling upon a rarer Funko in the wild might still cost you a lot of money, but there's also a chance it costs a lot less.

Funko Fusion

As for where you should be looking when out and about, Walmart is once again a good port of call. Target will also have a healthy supply of Funko Pop! figures at all times, as will Best Buy. You'll likely get some older, discontinued figures for a lot less than they'd sell for online in stores as they try to shift older stock. While it's impossible to list them all here, always check out your local toy and comic book stores too. That's where you're most likely to find a few hidden gems.

Conventions

If you're really serious about your Funko collection, or there's a particular Pop! you want to own, then you may well need to hit up a convention or two. Specifically San Diego Comic-Con where Funko Pop! figures are celebrated and certain fandoms get exclusives that are only sold at SDCC. Not Pops that return every year, but figures that are quite literally exclusive to attendees for that one weekend.

If you find a Pop! selling for hundreds, if not thousands of dollars online, chances are it was one sold exclusively at an SDCC which means there are a limited amount of them available and no more of them will ever be made. If you do get the chance to grab a convention-exclusive Pop!, you may have a very rare figure in your collection, or one you can sell for a lot of money if you ever decide to part with it.
