Bandai Namco is a publisher that has its fingers in all sorts of pies at the moment. Elden Ring, Dark Souls, Tekken, and The Dark Pictures series are just a few of the big-name franchises it helps/has helped publish, so it's a company that definitely keeps itself busy. Even with all of that, it might have two other big projects currently in development, as Bandai Namco recently trademarked both Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn and We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie in Europe.

The trademarks for both titles were spotted on the EUIPO website (thanks Gematsu) and were filed on December 7 and December 5 respectively. It's also worth noting that Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn was also trademarked in Japan on December 7 as well, giving that particular project a bit more legitimacy.

These trademarks don't necessarily mean these projects are in development but, given their specificity, it seems quite likely. No other information was provided, although we can assume certain things. For example, it seems like Bandai Namco is working on a remaster of We Love Katamari, given that the term "Reroll" was used for the Katamari Damacy remaster that launched in 2018. That one feels pretty conclusive.

Tales of Arise characters Alphen and Shionne

Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn is a bit more difficult to pin down. It's possible that this could be the title of a potential sequel, although it's not something the series typically does. It has a handful of numbered sequels to previous games, although it tends to move on from characters in favor of new locations. Then again, Tales of Arise is the most successful entry in the series so far from a sales perspective, so it's possible the developers could want to capitalize further on that success.

It could also be the title of a mobile game or a potential anime adaptation that could retell the game's story, so there's no telling yet as to what the project actually is. We'll just have to wait and see, although The Game Awards is right around the corner. You never know, right?
