Star Wars Jedi: Survivor players are finally giving the game's best character, Skoova Stev, the love and respect that he deserves - that's right Turgle lovers, it's our time now.
When Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launched back in April, one of the biggest surprises to come from it was the internet's collective love for everyone's favourite Invader Zim soundalike, Turgle. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Turgle head myself, but the love for this frog miscreant meant that Jedi: Survivor's true best character was getting massively overlooked - Skoova Stev.
You first encounter Skoova if you go over to the Foothill Falls area of Koboh, where he'll spin you a wonderful yarn in his incredible accent, before catching you a fish and proceeding to talk your ear off some more. After that, Skoova will have his own set of side quests where you find him throughout the game's worlds and get a different fish and story each time for your troubles. He's without a doubt the best side character in the game thanks to his funny chatter and how helpful he is to Cal. Not like a certain frog we know.
It's taken nearly two months since Jedi: Survivor's launch, but it seems that fans are now ready to accept the one true king into their hearts and admit that Skoova Stev is the game's best side character. Over on the Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor subreddit, Redditor fletche2222 shared an image of the main man himself with the caption, "Unpopular opinion, Turgle sucks. Skoova is the only one 100% loved", seemingly in response to the infographic Respawn released earlier in the week.
After denouncing Turgle for being "annoying", fletche2222 says that they hang on Skoova's every word and would "play the shit" out of a fishing game with him. Judging by how popular the post celebrating Skoova is, with over 1.1 thousand upvotes as of the time of writing, it seems that a lot of Skoova fans have been waiting in the shadows for the Turgle lovers to find something else to gawk at.
The comments section below the post shows just how the tides have turned against Turgle, with one Redditor saying, "Turgle isn't bad, he just pales in comparison to the awesomeness that is Skoova Stev", and another pointing out that "Skoova is so much more of an interesting character". Others praise his voice, his backstory, and even his kickass facial hair.
It must seem pretty hateful up in here for Turgle fans, but thankfully most Jedi fans seem to love both of the characters - it's just that Skoova Stev is finally getting some of the love and respect that Turgle's been getting from the very start. One Redditor puts it best - "They act like two legends cannot coexist".
