By now, plenty of fans have already seen the continuation of Cal Kestis' saga through the galaxy. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor delved deeper into the series, expanding its core mechanics, giving us new platforming abilities and wider areas to explore, with side-content spread all over it. And a new journey to find the lost planet of Tanalorr.

That said, what is next for our Jedi Knight? Well, we have no idea as we don't work on these games, but there are still things we would appreciate seeing in gameplay, game design, and writing.

This list contains spoilers, by the way

8 Better Polishing

First and foremost, as good as the game is, its launch should've been delayed. Among bugs, glitches, and framerate drops, the game needed to stay in the oven a bit longer.

Of course, the game is already better compared to when it was launched, and updates will improve these things over time. Still, games need to be properly playable on day one, and we'd appreciate having the third entry without these issues.

7 All Lightsaber Stances Available

Cal Kestis uses the Force to briefly deconstruct his lightsaber in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

One of the best innovations this game offered is five unique lightsaber stances - even though most of you stayed on the basic stance. These stances can drastically change how you play, with heavy crossguard hits, a blaster along with your blade, or fast moves from dual-wielding. However, two issues come with them: You can only have two equipped at a time, and because of that, the game can't demand specific stances since it won't know which ones you'll have equipped.

It'd be more interesting to have a weapon wheel or button combination that allowed us to use any of the five stances whenever we wanted them. Not only it gives us more freedom, but it also allows the enemies to be more or less prepared. A droid could be extra resistant to lightsaber attacks but vulnerable to blaster fire, for example, making the blaster stance shine. Essentially, a system similar to how the game Ghost of Tsushima handles its multiple fighting stances.

6 Tanalorr

The Mantis floats in space after coming out of the Abyss and seeing Tanalorr for the first time in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

We've made quite the journey to get to this planet. We lost friends to get there, and we succeeded in our mission. Many ideas flew about what to do with the planet, from a refugee area to a place where people could prepare to fight or simply outlive the Empire.

Whatever the case is, it's imperative to see the repercussions on the planet. Seeing communities of refugees, the Hidden Path, or whoever else they invite there. It's time for Tanalorr to shine.

5 Better Villains

Dagan Gera ignites his lightsaber for the first time after exiting the bacta tank in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

The game gave us three villains; Rayvis, Dagan Gera, and Bode Akuna. To be fair, Bode is an interesting villain, and so is Rayvis, but the same can't be said for Dagan, and he takes the spotlight for most of the game. He's obsessed with Tanalorr for reasons that aren't too deep, and there isn't much left if you take this obsession from him.

Rayvis sadly doesn't get much time to shine, and though the Bode twist is fun, it also happens near the end, and he doesn't have that much time for him either. Hopefully, our next baddie will rival these two and have more time in the spotlight, similar to how Trilla was in the previous game.

4 More Planets

Shattered Moon

We have a complicated line to discuss here. Understandably, Survivor doesn't offer many planets because most of them are bigger areas. Koboh is a lovely place to visit, with multiple extra locations, quests, and NPCs to talk to. Jedha isn't as developed, but they still did a good job.

However, the more developed the planets are, the lesser the amount will be. It would be nice to visit more locations, even if they're streamlined, with fewer areas to explore. Just don't bring Tatooine here, too; we've seen enough of it already.

3 Cal's Duality

Cal holding Dagen Gera's lightsaber in Jedi: Survivor.

Cal's connection to the dark side is not new; Force Slow is associated with the dark side, and he has done that since he was a child. However, his connection is a lot stronger, dealing with betrayal and the loss of Cere. He's also willing to let go of his teachings entirely and live a life with Merrin.

That opens many possibilities for his future, and we're excited to see that. He can continue as a Jedi but on his own terms. He could let go of the title completely. Or he can tap deeper into the dark side, creating a bigger duality inside him. We wonder if we could get Force Lightning in the next game if he gets even darker.

2 Kata Akuna

Cal meeting Kata In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Kata offers a complicated relationship for the future. She's now with Cal and Merrin, and considering her father, she could be Force-sensitive. She became an orphan, and Cal and Merrin will teach her how to deal with these emotions as she grows. The only thing is, she's an orphan because Cal killed her father in front of her in cold blood.

There are many possibilities here as well, and they all lead to a complex character dynamic. She could become a Padawan if she truly is Force-sensitive, and having her father's murderer as her master will be intense. Or even if Cal ditches the whole Jedi philosophy for good, she could still fall to the dark side or hold grudges against him, even if she understands the situation that led to her father's death. There's just a lot of writing potential there.

1 Cameos - If They Feel Organic

Boba Fett points his blaster at Cal before the latter backs down to let him take his bounty in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Not that this series has had this problem, but the organic part is always important to point out. Both Star Wars Jedi games were very tasteful with their cameos, from Darth Vader doing his appearances to even a quick look at Boba during a side mission here in Survivor.

Even Cordova counts, though he was introduced in Fallen Order, the fact that he was still alive - until he wasn't - was quite the surprise. It would be nice to see this happen more, if possible, as long as it doesn't feel forced (yes, pun intended).
