The world of Remnant 2 is procedurally generated, which means that every person will have a different experience in the game based on some randomly generated numbers. This means that you might not have every side path or even main bosses when you do the campaign mode.

Every boss and side area in the game gives specific items, and it can be quite frustrating if you miss an item you wanted because of the procedural generation. To remedy this, the game has an Adventure Mode that closely ties with the Campaign Mode and lets you get the items you want.

How To Unlock Adventure Mode

Remnant 2 World Settings In Checkpoint Area

When you first start a new save in Remnant 2, you won't have the Adventure Mode unlocked just yet. After a short tutorial in Ward 13, you're taken to a random world out of the following three: Yaesha, Losomn, and N'Erud. These worlds contain a main path that leads you to the final boss and gets you a fragment.

You will unlock the Adventure Mode when you defeat the final boss in the first world you get. Moreover, the Adventure Mode of other areas will unlock as you defeat their specific final bosses as well. Once unlocked, this mode can be accessed by interacting with a Checkpoint crystal and clicking on World Settings at the bottom.

How Adventure Mode Works

Remnant 2 Campaign And Adventure Modes

The most important thing to note about the Adventure Mode is that it's separated from your Campaign Mode, which means that you can have one of each mode on the same save. When you enter World Settings, you'll see Adventure Mode on the right side. Clicking on it will allow you to choose from the following options:

  • Select any one of the worlds that you've already completed (defeated the final boss).
  • Select any difficulty.

After selecting these options, you'll enter the selected area from the very beginning. The starting area might defer from what you got in the Campaign Mode since almost every region has two storylines that give you completely different final bosses. If you didn't get the desired storyline, you can keep rerolling until you get it.

Make sure you don't click on "Reroll Campaign" by mistake as this will restart your entire Campaign all over again.

Once your Adventure world starts, you'll have all the same gear that you did in the Campaign mode. Moreover, all the items you get during these runs including boss drops and Scrap will be saved, and you can use them in your Campaign Mode as well.
