When roaming around The Lament dungeon in Remnant 2, you're likely to come across a large dial covered in symbols. At first glance, it's immediately obvious that it's a puzzle. But the solution to it is a lot less obvious. In fact, it's quite difficult to figure out.
What makes it even harder is that you can't just ask a friend to tell you the code for the dial since everybody has a different one. Yes, the randomized nature of the game comes into play for this puzzle. However, while the code you need is always different, the way to figure it out is the same. And this is how you do that.
Find The Design Book
The first thing you have to do to be able to solve this puzzle is find an important book. As this game likes to move things around for every player, it might not always be in the same place for everyone.
However, this book is typically in the downstairs area, just below the dial. It's in the room you enter after getting past the arrow shooting puzzle. The book isn't just in the middle of the room. It's on the floor, down a little slope.
Once you find it, open it up and see what design is inside - this is different for every player. Take a picture or try hard to remember the design, as that is going to be important.
Find Your Symbols
The design in the book doesn't directly correlate to the symbols on the dial. Instead, it matches designs on some of the sheets that are draped over dead bodies nearby.
The room the book is in contains a bunch of bodies laid to rest, while there are more on either side of the dial upstairs.
You must find four sheets that match the design in your book.
When you find a corpse sporting your design, take note of the symbol above it. Do this with all four to get your dial combination.
Use The Dial
Once you've got four symbols, interact with the dial.
Spin the different sections of the dial so that the symbols are in a line from the middle arrow to the top of the mechanism. The order doesn't seem to matter at all.
When the symbols are in the correct place, hit "activate plinth" to open the door.
